Floor Layout
Floor 1 is a distorted city block arranged as a hub-and-spoke dungeon. The players can see several major locations from the central street, but movement between them is blocked by hazards, locked doors, monsters, or System barriers.

Map Structure
Central Hub
Tutorial Avenue sits at the center of the floor — a broad, rubble-strewn intersection connecting most major locations by direct line of sight or a short walk. Players will pass through it repeatedly. The geometry of the surrounding blocks is subtly wrong: parallel streets occasionally converge, and buildings that should be a block apart end up as neighbors. The System enjoys the confusion.
Major Locations
- The Quickie Mart — Starting area and first kiosk. Co-located with Tutorial Avenue.
- The Laundromat of Regret — Half a block west. Puzzle/combat room with animated machines.
- The Ratway Sewer Access — Manhole beside the Quickie Mart. Monster nest and optional key route.
- The Stacked Arms Apartments — One block north. Rescue mission and vertical exploration.
- The Municipal Parking Structure — Reached via sewer tunnel or south from the Food Court. Mini-boss and vehicle hazards.
- The Food Court That Shouldn’t Be Here — One block east. Merchant and NPC hub.
- The Department of Compliance — Two blocks east. Bureaucratic dungeon office; alternate path to the exit.
- The Transit Station — East of the Food Court or through the Compliance lobby. Final stairwell location.
- The Rooftop Billboard Array — Accessible only via the Stacked Arms rooftop. Optional broadcast mission.
- The Employee Breakroom — Hidden. No exterior presence. Secret safe room and lore drop.
General Movement Rules
- Most street routes are open but exposed — random encounters are more likely in the open.
- Sewer routes are faster between distant locations but carry disease and ambush risk.
- Rooftop routes require climbing checks and risk falling, but avoid all street encounters.
- As the countdown advances, some street routes become blocked by hazards or monster patrols.
